Apple announced a new Apple TV app, for multiple apps on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. The new TV app will give a platform for TV shows and movies, as well as a place to discover new content to watch. Apple also introduced a new Siri feature for Apple TV that will help Apple users tune in directly to live news and sporting events across their apps. Watching TV shows and movies across Apple devices has never been easier.

Apple TV app: features

Watch Now: Watch Now is for avid movie watchers to watch favourite movies on iTunes and apps. From Watch Now, viewers can then go to Up Next or Recommended to choose what to watch.

Up Next: It allows users to devour favourite movies,shows etc, which they have been watching now. It covers various genres all presented in the same order in which they want to enjoy the shows, starting from the first.

For instance, when you finish an episode, the upcoming one will appear automatically at the start of the Up Next queue, subsequently new episodes will be available. It allows users to access and any time just simply go to Siri to continue watching a show and immediately pick up where they left off.

They will be made available in December as free software updates for Apple TV (4th generation), iPhone and iPad customers in the US.
