WHAT’S ON SALE: Grab Apple SIM-free versions of unlocked Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus handsets as the company started selling these smartphones for US customers.
Tech major Apple has started selling SIM-free versions of unlocked Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus handsets for customers in the US, as per latest reports.
The models are available at company’s official website http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-7.
As per latest reports reaching us, Apple’s new SIM-free versions of recently launched flagship models were completely compatible with all leading networks of United States.
Apple said their prices start from $649 for iPhone 7, and at $769 for the bigger iPhone 7 Plus. But, if we pay an extra for the 128GB tier, we will get more storage, and also a faster memory for the models, said the company.
Both models are having features like storage capacities and unique iPhone 7 colors. But they are presently available only from Apple’s online stores for US users.
Apple has no facility for in-store pickup yet. The stocks are also low in numbers, admit company sources. Fresh stock will take at least three-four weeks for new models and up to six-eight weeks for its jet black version.
But, unlocked phones will filter into Apple’s retail stores. SIM-free versions are already through Apple’s online stores in other countries like the UK, Canada, and Australia for last few weeks.
But, if you decide to buy iPhone 7 SIM-free, you may not get the attractive tech support of the the company under its iPhone Upgrade Programme, said Apple. The programme had provided tips on getting used to new iPhone versions every year without getting ripped off. But, Apple will instead offer about 18-months of special financing.
For those waiting for jet black, it is sad news again! Apple said, it sold out all the stock last month and they have to wait for some more months to get the gadgets.
