Rocky Yadav surrenders in Gaya on murder case

Murder convict Rakesh Ranjan Yadav, alias Rocky Yadav surrendered before the Gaya district court today. Rocky Yadav son of suspended Bihar MLC Manorama Devi was denied bail in a murder case by Supreme Court on Friday. Supreme court had suspended bail granted by Patna High court on October 19.
Reports by PTI claim that Police could not trace Yadav after the apex court's verdict.
His lawyer clarified that Yadav was out of Gaya and would surrender on Saturday in an affidavit filed in court of ADJ. Yadav's parents also said that their son would appear before the ADJ court. Yadav, while surrendering on Saturday said he had faith in the judiciary. “I have immense faith in the judiciary.
A defiant Yadav, while surrendering on Saturday said he had faith in the judiciary. “I have immense faith in the judiciary. The allegations levelled against me are baseless and concocted…. I have full faith in the court,” he told media persons .
23-year-old Rocky Yadav had shot a class XII Aditya Sachdeva on May 7 when the latter overtook his SUV. When large-scale protests arose demanding Yadav's arrest, Bihar government had ensured a speedy action in the case.
Yadav was arrested on May 10 and the probe was completed in three weeks. When searched his mother Manorama Devi's house Police had recovered liquor bottles. Yadav is facing charges under Excise Act due to the recovery of bottles.
Aditya's parents, when approached to ask about Patna High Court's bail said :“We have lost our child and he wont come back but still we are looking for justice. He (Rocky Yadav) should realise his mistake.”
JD(U) spokesperson Ajay Alok said, “The law will catch up with him finally and there is no point in running away from it. He will be back in jail, which is his place.”
