Sachin Tendulkar salutes martyrs as he put on uniform to mark Air forces’ anniversary
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar paid his tributes to defense personnel who have sacrificed their lives for India.
“The pride & spirit of our forces is incredible! Salute to those who attained martyrdom & thank you for keeping us safe,” tweeted the cricket icon,” on Saturday on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of Indian Air Force.

Sachin Tendulkar also attended a special air show at the Hindon Air Force Base near Ghaziabad by the Indian Air Force. He was seen interacting with the senior officers at the programme attended by top-brass of the defense, like IAF chief Arup Raha, the chief of the Indian Army Dalbir Singh, among others.
Tendulkar, is also the honorary Group Captain of Indian Air Force, turned up in uniform for the 84th anniversary at Hindon air base in Ghaziabad today.
Currently, Sachin is a honorary Group Captain of Indian Air Force. Sachin turned up at the Air Force Anniversary programme in official uniform.
The centre of the attraction at the show ,was the first ever dare-devil public performance by India’s indigenous Light Combat Aircraft that brought cheers on the face of hundreds of spectators.
Responding to current escalation of tension between India-Pakistan, IAF chief Arup Raha said that Indian armed forces are always ready to give best reply to proxy war by the Pakistan trained terrorists.
He added, armed forces will thwart any threat from enemies in sub-conventional war, referring to the recent surgical strikes conducted by the Indian army across LoC targeting militant camps. India decided to engage the terrorists after the recent attack on its soldiers by terrorists in Uri, Kashmir.
