Earlier today, the censor board granted a U/A certificate to Ajay Devgn starrer Shivaay. Apart from a cut of a lovemaking scene, the film has passed censor board without much trouble. Devgn took it to twitter to express his gratitude to the Censor board, adding that the censor board officials were “highly coodial” and “cooperative” over certifying the film.
Shivaay has been certified U/A. CBFC was highly cordial & co-operative. Many thanks to @NihalaniPahlaj ji.

The actor plays a lead role in his much-anticipated directorial venture. Also making their debuts in the film are Dilip Kumar’s niece Sayyeshaa Saigal and Polish actor Erika Kaar. Vir Das and Girish Karnad are seen in the film as well.
The film is about an innocent Himalayan mountaineer, Shivaay who is caught in extraordinary circumstances. When it comes to protecting his family, he could also become a destroyer.
Yesterday, the makers of the film released another set of dialogue promos for the film. In the first promo, we see Shivaay, trying to rescue a woman from a car accident and he promises destruction. “Ab tak kisiko nahi mara, lekin ab jo mujhe rokega, marega” (I haven’t killed anyone. But now, if anyone stops me, I will kill them.”
We also heard Sayyesha Saigal telling an officer, “Comics ki duniya ke bahar aise superheroes bahut kam milta hai sir” (We rarely get to see superheroes in real life. They exist only in comic books).
The film has been produced by Ajay Devgn and will hit the box office on October 28, clashing with Karan Johar’s Diwali release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles has also received a U/A certificate. But, the film seems to be in trouble waters as it also features Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan.
