Video: Donald Trump's 'Rip The Baby Out' Comment on late-abortion Sparks Outrage
Donald Trump has been criticized for his statement on late-abortions that he will not allow to 'rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month..." Critics have accused him for his lack of awareness that such abortions are very rare and performed only when life of the would-be -mother is in danger..
After courting many controversies for his sexist comments on women, that already slimmed his chances in the upcoming US election-2016, Republican Party Presidential nominee Donald Trump, has come up with yet another stomach twisting comment on late abortions.
In his last Presidential Debates for 2016 Presidential Elections, Donald Trump did what he does best and made another unethical and ill-informed comment about abortion during the 9th month of pregnancy.
He said "If you go with what Hillary is saying, in the ninth month, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby.
Now, you can say that that’s OK and Hillary can say that that’s OK. But it’s not OK with me, because based on what she’s saying, and based on where she’s going, and where she’s been, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month on the final day. And that’s not acceptable."
His statement came after Hillary was asked by the moderator, Chris Wallace, why she had "voted against a ban on late-term, partial-birth abortions," and Hillary responded "Roe v. Wade very clearly sets out that there can be regulations on abortion so long as the life and the health of the mother are taken into account.
Critics argue neither Trump nor the moderator knew what they were talking about. They had no idea that abortions in the 9th month are only performed only if there is serious threat to mothers' life and it is done through cesarean section, which is, in today's day and age, a rather common technique of delivering babies.
Donald Trump's use of harsh words such as "rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month on the final day" has hurt the sentiments of many parents who were forced to abort pregnancy owing to threat to would-be-mother's life.
A doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who specialises in late-term abortions, responded to Trump's comment by pointing out that "There is no such thing as a ninth month abortion," and that late-term abortions only take place in case of severe health issues to mother or to the baby. Many specialists also pointed out that there are rare cases in which such an action is required.
