The US First Lady, Ms. Michelle Obama, in her stunning Atelier Versace gown was the star attraction in the last State dinner hosted by the Obamas on Tuesday night for Italian Prime Minister Mr. Matteo Renzi and his wife Ms. Agnese Landini.
Her attire was made of rose gold, it was delicately and carefully cut with precision and draped well for the occasion by the famous designer Ms. Donatella Versace.

Earlier, Ms. Versace had spoken of her choice of the selection, in Milan, in September that it is “all about a woman’s freedom: freedom of movement, freedom of activity, freedom to fight for their ideas, freedom to be whomever you want to be”.
On other public programmes, Ms Obama had worn some well-known Italian brands like Gucci (“The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Sept) , Missoni ( 2013 trip to Italy and Britain), and a remarkable Giambattista Valli on the same day when the Obamas first met the Italian Prime Minister and his wife.
But it is the first time the First Lady has appeared in Versace.
The Italian fashion firm said the gown had been specially designed for Ms Obama and its creator Ms Versace said: ”I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to dress the first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. Thank you Michelle for all the things you did for America and for the rest of the world, for the women in the US and the rest of the world.”
She also made it clear that it is high time for the fairer sex to “take the lead”.
Ms Obama, apart from her scathing rebukes on Mr Donald Trump’s sexist and misogynist statements, made political message clearly though her act of dressing-up for the fabulous event in Italy.
As one woman commentator has described, Michelle Obama “will have her own legacy, separate from her husband’s”.
