Wikileaks revealed that the Hillary Clinton campaign knew that Trump was going to contest for Republican presidential nominee and they pushed hard to succeed his him in his bid at the GOP.
Wikileaks said, it has received the stunning information from a hacked mail sent by Marissa Astor, who is Hillary’s campaign manager Robby Mook’s assistant to Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.
The memo sent to Democratic National Committee (DNC) proved that Hillary’s campaign were clear about zeroing on Trump as their opponent at the primaries itself “We think our goals mirror those of the DNC,” according to the memo, sent to DNC under the title “muddying the waters.”
The memo has put Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson as most desired candidates. “We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to them seriously,” the memo reveals.
Clinton was seen as the future nominee of the Democratic presidential candidate even before the primaries.
The report states that both DNC and Clinton campaign worked hard to ensure for her win assuming that she will lead the Democrats in the general election.
Wikileaks, adds that last June, a hacker Guccifer 2.0 got hold of a Republican Party dossier on Donald Trump and published it on December 19, 2015.
Interestingly, this was the only opposition research dossier ever published by it from DNC hacks alleged Wikileaks.
Both Hillary and DNC wanted to contest against Trump only as opinion polls suggested that other candidates in the fray like Sen. Rubio, Gov. Kasich or even Cruz were able to rally the Republican against her easily.
While Rubio and Kasich were considers the most formidable foes for Hillary and Cruz, was a good at raising funds to support his candidacy.
Clintin camp was expecting that the an FBI probe into her private email server and her record of scam-tainted image would put an end to her dreams to contest election.
However, the Hillary campaign schemed to highlight Trump as the prominent Republican candidate in the mainstream media by making the election run in the primaries as a Clinton V/S Trump direct contest and eclipsed other potential candidates including her own rival in party, Bernie Sanders.
Media was replete with articles on the duo’s face-off, “Clinton, Trump trade insults as rhetoric heats up between front-runners,” was a front-page headline of the CNN that appeared on September 2015.
US mainstream media blindly followed the plan and wrote the entire script for the biggest political drama of the year by reducing the presidential elections into a Hillary vs. Donald Trump.
The media helped Clinton escape from the hawkish eyes of the FBI, and gave her an opponent, who destroyed unity among his own party and rallied liberals as and others to support Hillary due to his hate-speeches.
