2 killed in communal violence in Aligarh

According to one version, trouble brewed when Bundu Khan and his son had an altercation with one Dinesh Kashyap over parking of a car

Two people were killed and one other was injured in communal violence in the Kodiya Ganj area of Aligarh on Diwali night, The Times of India has reported.

The deceased were identified as Bundu Khan (42) and his 17-year-old son Mohhabbat Khan. According to police, there are conflicting versions to the happenings that led to the clash, which took a communal turn with members of the two communities joining in and taking sides.

According to one version, trouble brewed when Bundu Khan and his son had an altercation with one Dinesh Kashyap over parking of a car.

Police officials said country-made weapons were used during the clash by Dinesh Kashyap and his family. According to SP rural, Sankalp Sharma, as a precautionary measure additional forces, including 30 sub-inspectors, 100 constables, one company of RAF and one platoon of PAC, were posted in the area.
