7 Pak soldiers killed in LoC firing, says Pakistan army
Pakistan on Monday claimed that Indian troops violated the ceasefire and killed seven of its soldiers along the Line of Control in Bhimber sector on Sunday night, NDTV has reported.
“Seven soldiers embraced shahadat at the LoC in the Bhimber sector in a ceasefire violation by Indian troops late last night,” Pakistani Army said in a statement.
According to the Dawn, the Foreign Office (FO) summoned Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale on Monday to lodge a protest against the killing of soldiers across the LoC. The FO Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said India must stop all ceasefire violations and avoid targeting residents along the LoC.
Ceasefire violations along the border have increased since the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes along the LoC on September 29. On November 4, an Indian Army official had told a news agency that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire 99 times since the India carried out surgical strikes on “terror launchpads” along the LoC.
