ADIPEC 2016, world’s most influential oil and gas event, will open in UAE capital Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Monday’s opening ceremony includes Keynote Presentations from ADNOC, UAE Ministry of Energy, OPEC and Exxon Mobil Corporation.
World’s key policy makers, industry leaders, from oil and gas industries will attend the gala event to be held under the theme ‘Strategies for the New Energy Landscape’, said organisers.

ADIPEC is hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Ministerial speakers on Day One include H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy, H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil for the Kingdom of Bahrain, and H.E. Mohammed Hamad Al Rumhy, Minister of Oil and Gas for the Sultanate of Oman.
ADIPEC’s opening day will also feature one of three Global Business Leader sessions, offering a world outlook for the oil industry, and shedding light on what challenges and opportunities to expect in the short, medium, and long-term economic cycles.
Speakers in the first of the three sessions include Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of Total; Bob Dudley, Group Chief Executive of BP; Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, President and CEO, Qatar Petroleum; and Claudio Descalzi, CEO, Eni.
Three of eight Panel Sessions will also take place tomorrow, covering topics on the application of research and technology as a transitional strategy, nurturing and cultivating the next generation of energy leaders, and the resilience of the oil and gas industry in the future global outlook.
On the conclusion of first day, the annual ADIPEC Awards will announce the 2016 winners of the prestigious awards at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi during evening.
