Beauty and the Beast Trailer Beats Fifty Shades Darker and Star Wars as Most Viewed Trailer in 24 Hours

But the record breaker views were whopping 127.6 million for Beauty and the Beast.

In the Disney’s live-action remakes of its classic animated movies, Beauty and the Beast appears to be the most popular one with the record breaking success of its trailer in 24 hours.

The first official trailer of the film was released yesterday and has officially broken the record views in 24 hours of Fifty Shades Darker and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Reportedly, Fifty Shades Darker garnered 114 million views after its trailer was released earlier this year, topping Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a 112 million views.

But the record breaker views were whopping 127.6 million for Beauty and the Beast. The trailer launched looks at Belle, the Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts from the 1991 animated movie, including the waltz between Belle and the Beast.

Directed by Bill Condon, the movie stars Emma Watson, Ian McKellan, Audra McDonald, Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor and Dan Stevens. In a Facebook post, Watson shared the trailer with rose symbolizing the essence as well as importance of Rose in the movie.

It was reported that actress’ page accounted for 27 million of those clicks in the views, and the cast also did the Live Q&A for the trailer of the film on Facebook. In the first half hour of launch, #BeautyAndTheBeast was the leading trend worldwide on Twitter. And also, Disney noted that the trailer is currently the top trending video on YouTube.

Earlier when the casting for the highly anticipated film was first announced, the beloved Harry Potter’s Hermoine, Emma Watson dished about taking on the role of a lifetime with Belle.”It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There.’ My six-year-old-self is on the ceiling—heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.”

The movie is set to hit the screens on March 17, 2017.
