Demonetisation: ANI interviews its own staff as “customer”, twitterites accuse propaganda
Social media users have accused multimedia News Agency ANI of doing propaganda for central government after news organization interviewed its own staff at a New Delhi tea stall.
On November 13, an ANI news item appeared on its twitter page claimed the owner of a tea stall in New Delhi accepting online payments for the customers who didn’t have cash in hand.

However, people started questioning the credibility of the news after finding one of its reporters, Shashank Tyagi, being interviewed as a ‘customer’ along with a bunch of customers.

After the online backlash, ANI News issued an apology on Tuesday for their “error”.
