Demonetisation has caused confusion among the people, says Supreme Court
People have been standing in long queues to access their bank accounts in the move that aimed against black money
The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Central government over the demonetisation of the Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8.
The court directed the Centre to file an affidavit on how to overcome the difficulties being faced by people to access their accounts and to deposit their old notes in exchange for the new notes.

The petitioner, Vivek Narayan Sharma, was also directed to give suggestions on how to make the transition without great public inconvenience and hardship as is the case now.
The government said they are in the process of doing everything necessary to normalise banking operations.
