The Donald Trump presidency will take the United States and the world into a never-ending recession, economist Paul Krugman said today.
In his column in the New York Times, Krugman, the Economics Nobel winner, said putting an irresponsible, ignorant man who takes his advice from all the wrong people in charge of the nation with the world’s most important economy would be bad news. He said, “What makes it especially bad right now, however, is the fundamentally fragile state much of the world is still in.”
US stocks crashed 800 points on news that Trump was on course to the Oval Office. The New York Times and many other newspapers and magazines in the US had supported Hillary Clinton in this election.
1928 was last time Republicans had the White House, the House and the Senate.
