FIR registered against Amar Singh for derogatory remarks against Modi

A FIR has been registered against Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and an unidentified person for making derogatory comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
The FIR was registered in City Kotwali under Section 66 of the IT Act and 506 of the IPC (criminal intimidation) based on a complaint by state BJP spokesperson IP Singh.
The complainant said he had received a video which went viral on social media in which Amar Singh was seen smiling to a derogatory remark by an unidentified person on PM Modi and his family.
IP Singh is currently stationed at Azamgarh in UP,for the campaign works of BJP Chief Amit Shah's rally.
Amar Singh condemned the incident saying it happened in Chanakyapuri Police station area of Delhi on November 8.
He said an unidentified person came to him for taking a selfie and started throwing slurs at PM Modi and the video went viral the very next day.
SP leader said he also lodged a complaint against the unidentified person based on which a FIR was registered.
