Subramanian Swamy Shocks Again, Wants to hand over Malappuram to army and enforce AFSPA
Subramanian Swamy, a senior BJP leader, stated that the Kerala government must make reparation to enforce the Armed Forces Special Powers Act in Malappuram district.
While talking to one news agency Swamy said, “The recent bomb blast in Malappuram was a dress rehearsal for Islamic State. Malappuram district is the original sin of the CPI(M). The district administration should be handed over to the Army”.
A low-intensity bomb blast erupted in the civil station premises of the Malappuram district in Northern Kerala. According to the police, ammonium nitrate and a pressure cooker were used for the blast. Police had recovered a paper box containing a notice, in the name of ‘Base Movement’, which warned about more attacks. It also tells that they may take revenge in the name of Mohammad Akhlaq in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.
Swamy stated that a secular, democratic government must ensure the integrity of the Constitution and safety of the people. “I urge Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, therefore, to take a call on the situation in Malappuram,” Swamy added.
While chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that a special investigation team, headed by a deputy superintendent of police, would probe the blast. And the National Investigation Agency would coordinate with the state police in the investigation.
Earlier RSS mouthpiece “Organiser” portraited Malappuram as “a miniature of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where the Muslims are allowed to live undisturbed by carrying on the practice and propagation of Islam”.
Will it be the next “Muzaffarnagar”? The chain of comments from RSS and BJP indicates their interest on Malappuram and it is going to be their next arena.
