High-intensity fire in Mumbai's Jogeshwari furniture market
Locals say some cylinder explosions as a result of fire may have added to the intensity of the blaze
In a massive fire that broke out today at a furniture market in Mumbai's Oshiwara area, near Jogeshwari slum, the reason hasn't been ascertained yet.
In a report, NDTV quoted its fire brigade sources as saying that the blaze erupted at the furniture market situated on Relief Road in Jogeshwari. It has been said that at least 15 fire engines and 10 water tanks have been sent to the spot to bring the blaze under control. The officials are also trying to arrange for more fire engines to contain the fire.
The reason for the category 4 (high-intensity) fire is not known yet, the officials said in the report. However, there have been no reported casualties or injuries.
