In a buzz of excitement, Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Karan Johar’s much-hyped and successfully-running movie Ae Dil Hai  Mushkil has led to KJo’s stint to plan him along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in another movie.

In 2002, the two charismatic stars together were seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, where they played a couple in love who were destined to be torn apart by the script. Next, they ventured in an item song ‘Ishq Kameena’ together for Boney Kapoor’s Shakti. Thereafter, the duo was all set to play a married couple in Aziz Mirza’s Chalte Chalte. She even shot a few scenes for the film, but the shoot had to be called off abruptly after Salman Khan allegedly barged in on the sets to ‘create’ a scene that wasn’t part of the screenplay. That is how Rani Mukherjee came to play the female protagonist in the film.

Understandably relations between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were strained thereafter. But the recent performance in Ae Dil Hai  Mushkil, where SRK played the role as Aishwarya’s estranged husband, had Karan Johar appreciate the pairing so much, that he has already planned to cast the duo in his next film.

Media reports claim via a source who says that, “In Ae Dil Hai Mushkil they look so good together. They bring the roof down when they are together. Karan feels he owes Aishwarya a full-fledged role. He has an idea for a film which works just fine for both. He already has a script in mind for the two.”

”Much time has passed since Chalte Chalte. All the awkwardness has been washed away and Aishwarya’s husband, Abhishek is extremely close to Shah Rukh. In fact he was instrumental to an extent in putting together the cast of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.”
