Mayawati says PM Modi's survey is fake and sponsored
Mayawati's remarks came at a time when the centre defended its currency ban saying 93 per cent people participated in an app based survey supported the move.
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Thursday slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's app-based survey on demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, saying it was “fake and sponsored” and asked him to dissolve the Lok Sabha and face elections.
“The survey of Modiji is fake and sponsored. If he has guts, then he should dissolve the Lok Sabha and face elections, then only real survey can be done,” Mayawati told media outside the Parliament.
Mayawati's remarks came at a time when the Centre defended its currency ban, saying 93 per cent of people who participated in an app based survey supported the move.
PM Modi had asked the people to participate in a survey on his official app on the government's decision to scrap the higher denomination notes.
On November 8, the Centre had announced the decision to cancel Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb "black money and corruption".
The move led to great chaos by thousands of people lining up outside banks to exchange invalid currencies.
