Bus owner's association has decided to stop allowing ticketless travel to the police

Police men have to take tickets to travel in private buses in Kerala now onwards. Bus owners association decided to put an end to the practice of allowing free travel to them in private buses. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan has received an anonymous letter requesting to stop free travel of Policemen. The CM then ordered to consider the letter as a circular and display it in all police stations. Police men were enjoying free travel since long time in Kerala. Bus operators kept silent on it in order to avoid any trouble with the law enforcers. Bus employees also are helpless when dealing with policemen. Based on these matters, the Chief Minister asked the police department to cooperate with the new decision.

Bus operators association said that transportation industry is going through a tough time and allowing free travel to some would make things worse. They also stated that it shameful for the police to enjoy ticket less travel.
