Poet K Satchidanandan calls for PM Modi’s resignation
As downbeat opinions about the government’s decision to demonetise high denomination notes are flooding across the country, noted poet and former secretary of Sahitya Academy K Satchidanandan has called for PM Narendra Modi’s resignation. “PM Modi should resign if he has any respect left in him. No earlier PM has been abused and condemned so badly by the people, no one has been more corrupt, more anti-people and more inefficient,” he wrote in his Facebook page.
Satchidanandan, who has been the secretary of the Sahitya Academy and the editor of Indian Literature, is a staunch critique of the Modi regime.
