Rahul can’t see the country’s development as he is wearing Italian glasses: Amit shah

He slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi saying he can't see the nation's development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership as he is wearing "Italian glasses".

BJP President Amit Shah addressing a rally at Chandigarh’s Ramlila Ground lashed out at Congress party for criticising demonetisation move and claimed that the party had accumulated Rs 12 lakh crore during the UPA rule.

He slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi saying he can’t see the nation’s development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as he is wearing “Italian glasses”.

“Rahul baba is opposing because he is immature. Rahul Gandhi cannot see the country’s development as he is wearing Italian spectacles,” said Amit Shah.

Continuing his jibe against Rahul he said the BJP gave a transparent government to the country. “Rahul Baba toured places and asked what has Prime Minister done for them? Let me answer the first thing we gave “bolne wala” Prime Minister. Rahul asks us what government we gave them, we gave a transparent government. Even the opposition could not prove charges of corruption against us,” Shah said.

He questioned the contribution of the Congress party during UPA 1 and UPA 2 and claimed that the party did scams after scams in its 10 years regime.

He hit out at the parties criticising the demonetisation move saying they are scared. Shah said, “Samajwadi Party, Mayawati, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee have all joined forces since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetization. They are all scared.”

He claimed that the decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes will help boost the country’s economy. Shah said India’s economy was suffering from cancer and therefore Prime Minister Narendra Modi did a surgery.

He said the government is aware that people are facing hardship after demonetisation and it is taking all steps to ensure that the people do not suffer.
