'Rail Roko' Protest in Assam Demands separate Kamatapur state

The members and supporters of All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Students Union and its allied organisations squatted on the train tracks near the station from 5 am.
Demonstrators with painted faces and carrying placards shouted the slogans demanding the creation of new Kamatapur state.
Railway sources in Alipurduar junction of West Bengal said all up and down trains were controlled at Alipurduar, New Alipurduar or New Jalpaiguri Junctions. RPF sources in Assam and Alipurduar in West Bengal said no unanticipated incident has been reported so far.
