Supreme Court rejects bail of rape accused RJD’s Rajballabh Yadav
The supreme court of India has rejected the bail plea of Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA Rajballabh Yadav accused of raping a 15-year-old girl.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar moved to the apex court against the bail granted to Yadav by the Patna High court.
Yadav, MLA from Nawada assembly constituency, has surrendered a few days ago as the apex court canceled his bail.
Yadav was named as one of the main accused in a charge sheet filed by Nalanda Police after he allegedly raped a minor girl of 15 years old at his residence on February 6. Immediately after that, he has suspended from RJD.
When Rajballabh Yadav had walked out of prison on September 30, the minor had sent a panicked WhatsApp message to journalists hoping to reach the chief minister Nitish Kumar.
“He (Yadav) is out of jail… I am scared and afraid for my family. What will happen to them? I am already dead after what happened to me. I have nothing more to lose,” the teen wrote.
And Nitish Kumar government had moved to the apex court and court canceled the bail of Bihar lawmaker.
