Trump's camp never had communications with Russia: Rudy Giuliani
Reports say Giuliani is going to play a pivotal role in the upcoming Trump administration
Rudy Giuliani, the man who ferociously campaigned for United States' president-elect Donald Trump during the election denied on Sunday the claims by Russian officials that they had been in touch with Trump's campaign. He denied he is aware of no such conversations.
Considered as the most powerful in the Republican's camp,Giuliani said:"I know of no such contacts with the Russian government. I was pretty deeply involved in the campaign -- I was with Donald Trump day and night for about 100 days, actually." Former New York City mayor was talking to CNN.
"So if that's going on, it's going on somewhere that I didn't see it," he said.
Reports say Giuliani is going to play a pivotal role in the upcoming Trump administration. Throwing lights to his future plans, he said he wanted to grow the military --from 420,000 troops to 550,000 as well as 350 ships and 1,200 modern aircraft.
"He's going to negotiate for peace, but with strength -- not with a diminishing army," Giuliani added.
