UAE leaders greet Sultan Qaboos on Oman’s 46th national day

A message from the President, Sheikh Khalifa was sent to Sultan Qaboos expressing his best wishes for the occasion.

On Oman’s 46th national day, leaders of the UAE have congratulated Oman’s Sultan Qaboos and his people.

A message from the President, Sheikh Khalifa was sent to  Sultan Qaboos expressing his best wishes for the occasion.

Leaders including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rash-id, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, also congratulated Oman’s sultan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tweeted :”We would like to extend our warm congratulations to the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of its 46th National Day.”

“Congratulations to my brother Sultan Qaboos for such glory and people. History is witness to the brotherly and friendly ties between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, which are strengthened by our geography and by the great love and continuing communication between our peoples.” the tweet read.

On Friday the Omani leader appeared on the national day celebrations in a military uniform. The 75-year-old Sultan  Qaboos was greeted by many officials before presiding over the parade.

Considered as the longest ruling monarch in the Middle East, he has been ruling since 1970.

Both UAE and Oman have a very warm relation for decades,setting up of UAE-Oman Higher Joint Committee in 1991 being the milestone in it.

It was established to promote cooperation and coordination in economy, commerce, culture and education.
