11 RSS men get life sentence in Kerala

The Thiruvananthapuram Additional Sessions Court has sentenced 11 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh men to double life imprisonment in connection with the murder of Democratic Youth Federation of India activist Vishnu.

Santhosh of Kaithamukku, Manoj alias Kakkot Manoj and Biju Kumar all from Keraladithyapuram, Renjith Kumar of Manacaud, Balu Mahendra of Malapparokonam, Vibin and Satheesh Kumar from Anayara, Bose from Pettah, Sathish from Vattiyoorkavu, Vinod Kumar from Nalanchira and Subhash from Sreekaryam were convicted for the murder of the CPI-M activist.


Besides the eleven, one of the accused got life imprisonment and one other accused has been sentenced to three years of imprisonment for providing shelters to the assailants who fled after committing the crime.

Vishnu, the DYFI- youth wing of Communist Party of India(Marxist)- activist, was hacked to death by RSS activists with swords in front of the Regional Passport Office at Kaithamukku on April 1, 2008.
