Several raids by Income Tax authorities had reportedly unearthed crores of stashed black money since demonetisation announcement.

Business Standard reported that IT department has carried out "swift investigations" in more than 400 cases and over Rs 130 crore in cash and jewellery have been unearthed with some tax evaders disclosing Rs 2000 crore of undisclosed cash.

Rajasthan BJP leader caught with Rs 1 lakh bribe, in Rs 1,000 notes

According to Hindustan Times, Chairperson of Chhabra Municipality in Baran district, Jitendra Kumar Sahu and his wife were caught by the Anti-corruption bureau for taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh in old Rs 1,000 notes on November 9, the very next day of Prime Minister's note ban announcement. Belonging to Other Backward Caste category, Pinky Sahu was a BJP member.

Rs 20 lakh seized from BJP youth leader who supported demonetisation

Arun, a BJP youth wing activist was vociferous of facing the hardships by standing in a queue. According to Indian Express,
 Suresh was caught with several bundles of currency notes worth Rs 20.55 lakh with 926 pieces of Rs 2,000, 1530 of Rs 100 and 1,000 of Rs 50 notes.  

Bengal BJP leader arrested with Rs 33 lakh in new Rs 2,000 notes

Times of India reported West Bengal BJP leader Manish Sharma was arrested by police for carrying currency Rs 33 lakh in new Rs 2,000 notes earlier this week. Reports say that police found seven fire arms, 89 round bullets from them.

The BJP leader's car had new notes of Rs 2,000 worth Rs 10 lakh and notes of Rs 50 and Rs 100.

Cash worth of Rs 91.50 lakh in banned denominations of currency were seized from Maharashtra Minister for Cooperation Subhash Deshmukh's vehicle on November 18.

On November 9, A car of BJP leader from Ghaziabad was nabbed with Rs 3 crore cash.
