AIADMK can elect party gen-secy, but let people pick their CM: Suba Veerapandian
Immediate general election should be conducted to elect Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, says Suba Veerapandian
Dravida Iyakka Tamilar Peravai general secretary and editor of ‘Karunchattai Tamilar’ magazine Professor Suba Veerapandian has said the right to elect the chief minister belongs to the people.
"The AIADMK has elected Sasikala Natarajan as the party general secretary. It is their right, but it is not just an internal affair of the party as thr AIADMK is the ruling party. There are chances that Sasikala’s name would be put forward as the CM. But, the right way is to conduct an election and decide the chief minister," said Veerapandian.
"Let them choose the chief ministerial candidate from their party members. But, the CM should be elected by the people. Tamil Nadu needs urgent general election to decide its chief minister," he added.
