Amit Shah to attend two-day chintan shibir at Gujarat luxury resort

BJP national president Amit Shah will be addressing the Gujarat BJP organised two-day chintan shibir on December 18 and 19, and lay out the strategy for upcoming state assembly elections in 2017. The shibir will be held at a luxurious private club near Sanand. Shah reached Ahmedabad on Saturday evening.

BJP state president Jitu Vaghani and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will chair the two-day shibir.

All party bearers including ministers and state and district level officials will participate in the event. The meeting is expected to form a strategy to deal with the adverse impact of demonetisation and other issues. The CM will ask feedback for the next budget from the party.

BJP Gujarat spokesperson Bharat Pandya told Times of India: "National BJP president Amitbhai confirmed that he will attend the shibir. There will be a discussion on several issues like promotion of central and state government schemes, promotion of digital payment schemes of GOI and creating awareness in masses, celebration plan of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay birth century, calendar for events in 2017 etc."
