Earlier on December 9, three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in a 36-hour gunbattle with security forces in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district in Kashmir.

Amid the continuous militant insurgencies, security forces have killed one militant during an encounter in Anantnag's Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to Greater Kashmir, the man was identified as Basit Rasool of Marhama village of Bijbehara, and was studying at the Islamic University of Science before he became a militant. Reportedly, the combing operations are underway.




Reportedly, another encounter in underway in Bomai, Sopore, where the armed forces have cordoned off the area as militants are believed to be hold up inside a building.



Earlier on December 9, three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in a 36-hour gunbattle with security forces in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district in Kashmir. "Three holed up terrorists eliminated; bodies of two terrorists & three weapons recovered,” Army’s Northern Command said in a tweet.
