Appatlo Okadundevadu Movie Review: Nara Rohith-Sri Vishnu shine in this period flick

Appatlo Okadundevadu starring Nara Rohith, Sri Vishnu is  the latest movie to hit the Tinsel Town. Appatlo Okadundevadu is an action flick, which narrates the duel between the notorious gang leader Railway Raju and the encounter specialist Imtiaz in 2012. The film has received good responses from audience in AP and Telangana, after hitting theaters on Friday.

Here is the trailer of Appatlo Okadundevadu:

The movie manages to bring the suspense and nerve-biting drama of that time to Telugu  movie goers without compromising the aesthetic quality or expectations of contemporary times.

"Our film doesn't have a protagonist or an antagonist; it is all about perspective." actor Sri Vishnu told Times of India, adding that "So I play Railway Raju, a cricketer who turns to crime due to circumstances. his actions are justified from his perspective, but not from that of the cop's — played by Rohith."

The movie marks Rohit’s debut production in Telugu. Rohit plays the gun wielding cop, Imtiaz who is after Raju.  Imtiaz is a devout Muslim and prays five times daily and wants to get rid of the criminals threatening the city.

This is the first time Rohit is playing a Muslim character in his career and the actor said, the rome definitely offers  number of challenges to him.

Set in post globalised India of 1990’s the film also “focuses on timeless subjects like naxalism, cricket, globalisation, love, betrayal and hatred," says the filmmakers.

The movie brings to light the dark era of those times, added filmmakers.
