Star Screen Awards 2016: Big B-Alia get best actor and actress award, Pink bags best film

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Pink was the highlight of the night as it won four major awards, including a Best Actor award for Amitabh Bachchan. Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress Award for her performance in Udta Punjab.

Star studded event of 22nd edition of the annual film awards show, Star Screen Awards, was held at Mumbai last night. The Bollywood stars came embellished in stylish couture and the night ended with awards and recognition for many. The brightness of the event increased when Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan joined on the stage as the hosts.

However, first segment of the show was hosted by Karan Johar and Karan Singh Grover. Soon enough, the Khan duo rode into the stage riding bicycles, Karan Singh Grover went shirtless on the show to everyone's applause.


The electric performances during the night were power packed with Tiger Shroff dancing to Bang Bang's Tu Meri, after which he got down from the stage and shook his leg with Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Dhawan. On the other hand, Tiger's rumoured beau Disha Patani performed to Befikre's Nashe Si Chadh Gayi, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's Break Up Song and more. Zareen Khan was magnificent in her performance, dancing to hit Salman Khan numbers like Sultan's 440 Volt and Ready's Character Dheela.

However, the major performance of the night was of 62-year-old Rekha performing to Pardesia on stage.
