Donald Trump's The Apprentice show returns with Schwarzenegger as host

The Apprentice played a major role in the rise of Trump from a businessman to politician and future US president. Donald Trump holds 50 percent stakes in the show, and will remain one of the executive producers of the show, said a spokesperson for Mark Burnett, who created the show.

Popular US reality show The Apprentice, produced by President-elect Donald J. Trump will make a comeback to TV again. The Apprentice played a major role in the rise of Trump from a businessman to politician and future US president.

Donald Trump holds 50 percent stakes in the show, and will remain one of the executive producers of the show, said a spokesperson for Mark Burnett, who created the show.



“Mr. Trump has a big stake in the show and conceived  it with Mark Burnett,” Hope Hicks, a spokesperson for Trump told media.

However, Mr. Burnett’s studio  MGM refused to divulge details on payment for Mr Trump for the show. NBC which airs the show now fears that it may face backlash from anti-Trump sections in US.

Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear in the first episode of show on January 2. Leading corporates like Trident gum, Welch’s and Carnival Cruise Line are sponsors of the show. 
NBC also refused to comment on if Trump is again producing the show.

Trump reportedly made comments on how Schwarzenegger, a former governor of California, would be performing as the host in a last May in an interview on his tryst with the TV show.

Trump had moved out of the show in 2015 to kickstart his presidential campaign, that elevated him to White House later.


Trump has said he was very passionate about the show, “You know I have a big chunk of that show, going forever,” Mr. Trump said. “Mark and I did it together. We were 50-50 partners.”

Trump has received flak for the sex allegations lodged by Show’s participants, who accused him of victimisation, harassment.

One of the participants of the show alleged, Trump threatened to fire her for refusing to have sex with him. She later revealed that she faced the wrath of Trump due to her contract NBC.
