Gionee launched its new Gionee P7 smartphone expanding its "P" series after launching P7 Max months before. Priced at Rs 9999 the phone is available across major retail and online stores in India.
The Gionee P7 is available in White, Latte Gold, and Grey colour options. Sporting metal edges, the smartphone's volume and power buttons are housed on the right edge.
The Gionee P7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Amigo 3.2 and has dual SIM slots. It is considered as a small variant of P7 Max and has low-end specs compared to the larger sibling.
With a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display and soda lime protection the phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers a 16 GB internal memory with a microSD card slot for maximum storage 128 GB.
There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera. A 2300mAh battery which the company claims to last for 259 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options are 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 , and GPS. Fingerprint scanner? Sorry, no.
The Gionee P7 Max was priced at Rs. 13,999 and specifications include a 5.5-inch HD display and a 2.2GHz octa-core MT6595 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Additionally, it has 32GB of inbuilt storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3100mAh battery.
