At lease one person has died and 3 others were injured after a helicopter crashed in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony on Sunday morning.

Three people injured in the accident have been admitted in the nearby Seven Hills hospital and one of them is in a critical condition, media reports said citing doctors.

The Robinson R44 Astro model helicopter, which had taken off from Juhu airport for a joyride, crashed near Royal Palms.


The helicopter belongs to Aman Aviation and has the registration number VT PHB. The chopper is badly damaged.



It was not immediately known whom the helicopter belonged to or how many passengers were in it. Aarey Colony is located in Mumbai’s Goregaon East suburb. The chopper was a Robinson R44 Astro model.
