I-T sleuths raid IAS official’s house in Chennai
Rs 1.5 crore cash and six kilograms of gold were reportedly seized during the raid at the residence of K Nagarajan IAS
Income Tax officials on Thursday conducted searches at the residence of K Nagarajan IAS, managing director of state-owned Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation, in Chennai.
According to a report in Eenadu India, Rs 1.5 crore cash and six kilograms of gold were seized during the raid at his house at Krishnaswamy Cross Street at Pallavaram in the city.
"The raid started this morning and is still going on," sources told the news daily.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Income Tax officials raided the office of a close aide of a state minister in Salem. The house of a Madras High Court advocate at Valasarawakkam in Chennai is also said to be raided. More details are awaited.
