In Rajya Sabha, United Opposition says Modi government should be sacked; Lok Sabha Adjourned for the day
Rahul Gandhi calls Demonetisation, the biggest scam in country by the government.
More than 3 weeks after Winter Session of Parliament began, Opposition has now challenged government saying "Kisan virodhi, gareeb virodhi, ye sarkar nahi chalegi." Rajya Sabha gets adjourned again in few minutes till 2 PM. Lok Sabha is adjourned for the day.
Despite the loud sloganeering, the Lok Sabha manages to conduct some business during Zero Hour. A motion was adopted to suspend AAP MP Bhagwant Mann for the remaining days of the winter session over breach in Parliament security. However, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is forced to adjourn the House for the day as the protests reach a deafening high. The House will reconvene again only on December 14.
In the Rajya Sabha, Communist Part of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury brings up a news report on Import Duty being scrapped on wheat. “Zero duty imports are shameful for the country. I strongly condemn this,” he said.

To this, Union minister of food and public distribution Ram Vilas Paswan responds, “There is no shortage of wheat, there is enough food grain.” Opposition members react to this, with Yechury questioning the minister as to why the price is skyrocketing if there is, as the minister claims, ample stock.
However, following the heated arguments Deputy chairman PJ Kurien adjourns the Rajya Sabha as Opposition leaders gather in the well of the House chanting, “Kisan virodhi ye sarkaar, nahi chalegi” (This government is anti-farmer) in the wake of the discussion on wheat import duty.
Lok Sabha was also adjourned within minutes of convening as uproar of demonetisation stalls proceedings.
In the adjournment, Rahul Gandhi, Congress Vice President, dares Prime Minister Modi to attend the Lok Sabha, also saying he isn't being allowed to speak in the house.
"PM is afraid to come in Loksabha, not ready to sit here. Why is he so afraid?"
He further said government has reasoned it from Black money, then counterfeit, then cashless economy. It should come and talk, so that public knows everything when we debate., Gandhi said.
He further said that Government hasn't let him speak in the house. "I want to tell what India feels about it and who is being helped with this scam," Gandhi said.
He further said that, “This is one of the biggest scams in this history of the country and the government is running from debate; if they allow me to speak then you will see what an earthquake will come.”
He dared PM Modi to come and speak in the house, and not hide.
