Irfan Pathan asked on Twitter not to name his son Dawood, the cricketer comes up with a fitting reply

Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan and his wife Safa Baig were blessed with a baby boy on December 19. The all-rounder shared the news on Twitter, saying it is impossible to express his happiness after the arrival of the newborn. His Twitter handle was inundated with good wishes from fans and followers.

But the space of Social media is fast approaching to an intolerant sphere for celebrities and the pacer realised it when a user gave him a shocking suggestion.

"Big Congrats On being blessed from a baby boy! But don't name him Daud (Dawood) or Yakub. This world is Ridiculous," a handle tweeted.

Recently, Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor had received a lot of calumny on social media for naming their son Taimur.

But, Irfan's reply was a shocker just as his in-swingers.

"Irrespective of the name, my son will make the country proud just like his dad and uncle (Yusuf Pathan)," the all-rounder hit back.

Irfan also tweeted on Monday with the baby's hands that they have named their son Imran Khan Pathan and added the name was very close to the Pathan family's hearts.

Many thought Irfan named his son after Pakistan legendary all-rounder Imran Khan, but he took no time to mention it.

However, cricketer received support from all corners, as followers crticised the offensive tweet. They also lauded the fitting reply of Irfan.
