'Her fame will last forever'

The politics of hatred between M.Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa had taken the form of vitriolic attacks and jibes in media space many a times. This is what the patriarch of dravidian politics has to say when she departed.

' She began as a heroine in films, with more than 120 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada in her credit, gained fame and later entered into politics with the help of my dearest friend MGR, served as a member and policy maker of ADMK from 1984 to 1989, became General Secretary of the party after the demise of MGR and became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

She was suddenly admitted to hospital in last September due to health issues. We all were hoping that she would return home in a few days, but even after providing high quality treatment by experienced doctors and prayers from AIDMK members and supporters, Jayalalithaa left us with saddest feelings.

Though there have been many dissents between political parties, no one could disagree that CM Jayalalithaa was brave in making things up for her party. She died at early age but her fame will last forever.

I express my deepest condolences for her party leaders and friends and supporters'.
