Karunanidhi to continue in hospital for few more days
According to a hospital press release, the DMK patriarch has been admitted for optimisation of nutrition and hydration
DMK president M Karunanidhi, who has been hospitalised for treatment of measles, needs to remain in the hospital for a few more days, the hospital authorities have said. In a press release on Thursday from Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj informed that “DMK president and former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi has been admitted for optimisation of nutrition and hydration at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai. He is stable and being treated by a team of doctors. He will be in the hospital for few days.”
Karunanidhi is being treated by skin specialist Dr. Yesudasan.
As he has been bedridden for days, his skin on ridges is infected by measles, which is too painful, and Kalaignar is not able to sleep well. Doctors opined that he has to continue in hospital till complete recovery.
The 92-year-old former chief minister of Tamil Nadu was admitted to the hospital on 25th November due to allergy.
