Meti sex tape: Original video goes missing
The woman allegedly in the video has gone underground, the original sex tape is missing, and Subhash (the guy who reportedly shot it) is also absconding
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is probing the case of former Karnataka excise minister HY Meti to verify allegations of sex for favour, has claimed that the original video has gone missing.
Earlier, Meti, who was forced to resign from the minister position this month after the video got viral, had challenged his opponents to produce the original video.
To identify the woman whose face has been blurred in the viral video, the clip has been sent to the forensic laboratory.
Meanwhile, the woman, said to be in the video, has changed her statements several times – sometimes speaking in favour of Meti, sometimes against – until finally going off the radar. But before that, about a week ago, she lodged a formal complaint in Bagalkot against four persons for threatening her life, Bangalore Mirror has reported. These were constable Subhash Mugalkhod (the minister’s gunman who reportedly shot the video), Maruthi Meerajkar, Siddalinga Abalakatte, and Ashok.
Now, the woman has gone underground, the original sex tape is missing, and Subhash (the guy who reportedly shot it) is also absconding.
According to the news report, the CID believes that the woman who came out with the statements and the woman in the sex clip are different. The Forensic Science Laboratory, therefore, will have to study the clip and conclude.
Meti landed in the scandal after an RTI activist, Rajashekar Mulali, claimed he had a CD containing Meti’s alleged indecent act with a woman who approached him for a favour. But before the CD was released, contradictory statements from the woman made the case unclear.
When the tape was released, the face of the woman was blurred, but Meti’s was clearly visible. It was understood that the video was edited to hide the woman’s identity.
