Note ban is a Modi-made disaster, says Rahul Gandhi
The congress vice president questioned the Prime Ministers move to excuse the loan of absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya.
While addressing a public meeting in Belgaum, Karnataka, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Prime minister Narendra Modi on note ban policy.
Rahul has termed demonetisation as a Modi-made disaster and he severely criticised prime minister's double standard on note ban policy.
Calling demonetisation a failure, Rahul Gandhi, said, "Nothing will change in 50 days."
"PM has attacked our economy. Normally a PM works for the country and for the people. In English, we call this a man-made disaster. Similarly, demonetization is a Modi-made disaster. More than 100 people have died till now due to demonetisation," Rahul said.
The congress vice president also questioned the Prime Minister’s move to excuse the loan of absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya, saying, “Mallya is a thief, why did PM Narendra Modi excuse his Rs 1200 crore loan.”
"Prime minister is working for the rich. Cash ban will benefit 50 families who are Modi's friends," he added.
Rahul accused prime minister that he had introduced note ban as a surgical strike against corruption, black money and terrorism, but now he forgot his stand and started to talk about the digital economy.
"Now pm is talking about the digital economy, he has forgotten terror", Rahul remarked.
