Owaisi advices KCR against Modi’s note ban
Owaisi said all claims of banning high value notes to check black money, terrorism etc. are sham.
MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has advised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao not to back Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation move and instead support people suffering due to the cash crunch.
He said this at debate on the Centre’s note ban in the Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad.
Earlier, Owaisi had an exchange of words with CM KCR and BJP leader Kishan Reddy.
He alleged that the demonetisation move was a way to help the banking industry, which is collapsing due to huge bad debts, and corporate giants who were debt ridden.
He also said all claims of banning high value notes to check black money, terrorism etc. were sham.
Commenting on Chandrasekhar Rao’s support to the BJP on the note ban, Owaisi said, “This is a strange situation! We are supporting the TRS and the TRS is advocating for the BJP. Too much of an advocacy is not good.”
Rao, however, objected to Owaisi’s remarks saying that he was not advocating for anyone, but supported it in the interest of nation with confidence in the PM’s decision.
