Panneerselvam should respond to allegations raised by Rama Mohan Rao: Stalin
Tamil Nadu political leaders have urged CM O Panneerselvam to address allegations by Rama Mohan Rao.
Top political leaders of Tamil Nadu have asked Chief Minister O Panneerselvam to address allegations raised by former Tamil Nadu chief secretary Rama Mohan Rao.
DMK leader MK Stalin said: "The I-T department holds separate rules, though it comes under the Central government. Many times, raids have been conducted at offices and residences of government officials. Union ministers are repeating that the raids were placed as per rules and regulations. The Chief Minister should explain the raids happened at the residence of the chief secretary. It is suspected that the BJP-led Central government is behind raids. The BJP and I-T department should clarify it."
PMK leader Ramadoss said allegations raised by Rama Mohan Rao sounded like political statements. "Panneerselvam should answer questions raised against him. He should disclose details of raids and what they found by it," he said.
CPM leader G Ramakrishnan said: "Rama Mohan Rao claims that he is still the chief secretary of the state. Chief minister and the I-T department should explain their findings after the raids."
VCK leader Thirumavalavan said Rama Mohan Rao had questioned the authority of O Panneerselvam. The CM should answer the questions, he said.
