As the country witnesses 24th anniversary of the demolition of disputed Babri Masjid, a ‘black Day’ in the history of secular India, activists took to the streets of Delhi to observe the day.

Twenty three years ago, on December 6, 1992, hundreds of karsevaks demolished the 16th century mosque in Ayodhya after claiming that it was the birthplace of the Hindu deity Lord Rama.

On Tuesday, groups of activists, both supporting and opposing the incident staged demonstrations in the national capital.  Here are few pictures of the protests captured by VIjay Pandey.
