Senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday lashed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the alleged corruption charges found in Birla-Sahara diaries confiscated by Income Tax officials in 2013.
The leader, the chief ministerial candidate of the party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls said Prime Minister's office is shying from a probe on Birla- Sahara papers. The paper allegedly mentions Modi received a reward of Rs 40 crore during his tenure as Gujarat chief minister.
In a tweet on Tuesday, she attacked PM Modi on the alleged documents on which Supreme Court denied permission for a probe. Why is PMO India shying from an independent and a thorough probe into the Birla-Sahara papers, the tweet read.

On Monday, Dikshit denied charges of her alleged involvement in the scam and trashed the documents adding that the apex court had already given their ruling.
Former Delhi chief minister added that she was a bit surprised by her own party putting up the documents in Twitter in which her name featured.
