Sanju Samson likely to face suspension for unruly behavior
Sanju Samson was alleged of unauthorised absence for the team meeting during a Ranji game against Goa in Mumbai.
Kerala Crocket Association (KCA) has decided to inquire into alleged acts of indiscipline committed by cricketer Sanju Samson. KCA has formed a four-member committee to investigate the accusations of breach of discipline by Sanju.
Sanju was alleged of unauthorised absence for the team meeting during the Ranji game against Goa in Mumbai. His unruly behaviour in the dressing room and his father’s abusive telephone call to the KCA president TC Mathew also will be included in the purview of the probe.
Earlier, knowing that he wouldn’t be selected for the game against Tripura, Sanju had requested KCA to release him from the team so that he could get treatment for his knee injury at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru. KCA refused his request and asked him to continue with the Kerala squad.
Sanju is likely to face a suspension and served with a show-cause notice from KCA.
