Highest earning celebrity of 2016 Taylor Swift

The surprise duet of One Direction fame Zayn Malik and Forbes' highest paid celebrity 2016 Taylor Swift was a boon for the fans of the successful musicians. Even though there are no complaints for the amazing surprise of I Don't Wanna Live Forever, reason was a curiosity. And finally, Zayn has ended the curiosity for all the fans.

As a guest on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show Tuesday, Zayn revealed they didn’t record I Don't Wanna Live Forever together in a NSFW interview.

“We were kind of in separate places when I mentioned the idea to her,” he said. “I spoke to her on the phone, and she heard the song ‘cause Jack (Antonoff) had played it to her. She really liked it, and she went in the studio the next day.”

According to the reports, Antonoff wrote on Twitter that he wrote the song with Swift and singer Sam Dew. Lena Dunham’s boyfriend also wrote that Tay-Tay recorded her portion at his house, while Gigi Hadid’s significant other recorded his part in Los Angeles.

Zayn said he wasn’t nervous pitching the song to his musical partner since she and his supermodel girlfriend are so close. “The interesting thing was she’s actually friends with (Gigi),” he said, “so she’d already reached out ‘cause Jack had just played her the song anyway, just ‘cause we’d done it together.”

Zayn also said knowing the leader of the squad liked the song made him feel confident when asking if she wanted to collaborate. “So, I was like, ‘I’ll ask if she wants to be on it,’” he said, “and she was cool with it.”

And this is how, the powerful song was done.

Interestingly, Taylor Swift topped Forbes‘ list of the world’s highest-paid musicians this year, after earning a whopping $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016. Her success is largely attributable to both her 1989 tour and product endorsements, including deals with Keds, Diet Coke, and Apple, according to Forbes.

Adding to it, she also topped Forbes' list of highest-earning celebrities under 30 this year. Swift came out ahead of the next entry on the list, One Direction -- including the 26-year-old singer's ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles, and also ex-band of Zayn Malik, -- who drew in $110 million.
